Vimala Central School is one of the quality educational institutions in Thrissur district of Kerala State. The school follows CBSE syllabus and guidelines that prepare learners to appear for AISSCE and AISSE [Class 10 and Class 12]. The medium for instruction and communication is English. The school enjoys and retains the status of a minority institution and shares the privileges with the population it serves mainly from Irinjalakuda and nearby areas. The school is managed and monitored by the Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (SABS) of Kothamangalam Province. The school was established in 1995 as a small educational initiative for the local community. Later the initiative grew expanding its limits and reaching the present status of a sought-after premier school with around 1400 students completing their school education up to Higher Secondary level.
